Collaborations and Professional Partnerships
The Matas Library has a commitment to support the School of Medicine's research and clinical mission, the School of Public Health mission and initiatives, the Tulane National Primate Research Center scientific and research mission and to support the community outreach of Tulane University. There are essential and strategic collaborations with the Tulane Hospitals and Clinics, Baton Rouge General Hospital, Veterans Administration Hospital and the Tulane Rural Outreach Initatives, etc. Matas Library provides both onsite and remote information services and offers clinical resources for evidence-based patient care.
The Matas Library works within the Tulane Unviersity Libraries systems and services to provide information as needed by the wider Tulane community. The Matas Library participates in systems services such as the Library Catalog, Tulane Universities electronic journals system and the cross search and databases platform. The Matas Library is also part of initiatives of the Tulane Universities, such as the LOUISiana Digital Initiatives. There is a delivery to the Matas Library from the main campus, Howard-Tilton Library and the Offsite Depository in the afternoon each weekday. Materials may be requested from the Tulane Library Catalog after signing in to 'My Account'.
Partnerships and collaborations also exist among the library professionals of the regional and national organizations. The Matas Library offers reciproical services to the faculty, student and staff of the LSU Health Sciences Center.

Services and resources supplied via our relationship with the NN/LM;
- DOCLINE - is an integral system used in providing interlibrary loans. The National Library of Medicine supports and provides resources that would not be widely available otherwise.
- LoansomeDoc - A fee service for users not eligible for our Interlibrary Loan Service. You must contact the Matas Library to establish an agreement prior to creating a Loansome Doc account. See our informational guide for LoansomeDoc service.
