Consortia Membership and Professional Organizations:
National Network of Libraries of Medicine South Central Region (NN/LM SCR) provides resource sharing & document delivery via Interlibrary Loan (ILL) systems and DOCLINE. Education, outreach and funding opportunities are made available. The Rudolph Matas Library is a resource library for the South Central Region.
The South Central Academic Medical Libraries Consortium, also known as SCAMeL, is a consortium of academic medical libraries whose directors comprise the Board of Directors. Its mission is to improve information services, library operations, and resource sharing in its member libraries in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Neville Prendergast, Director Matas Library is on the Board of Directors. Cooperative projects and grants are made available to the membership.
The Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL) promotes the success of its members through relevant programming and services; benchmarking; advocacy; partnerships with like-minded organizations; and the development of a community of colleague. The Matas Library is a library member of AAHSL. Statistical resources on health sciences libraries are collected and published.
