Print Books

The Matas Library collects books in both print and electronic format.    Books available in the Matas Library may be searched in the Library Catalog.   Books are classified using the National Library of Medicine's Classification System.  The book stacks are on the Mezzanine Level of the Matas Library.

Books may be borrowed for four weeks from the General Stacks.  Some books may have limited or restricted check-out periods, such as the Reference Collections (no check-out), the Reserve Collections (2 hour or overnight check-out) and the Study Guides (Commons area with 2 day check-out).

The Matas Library's goal is to have a current circulating book collection that serves the students for study, faculty and reseachers for academic support.  Recommendations for purchase of print monographs are welcome.  Please indicate if you prefer print to an electronic version.

Books may be purchased as funds are available.  The Monographs Department handles the selection process, the purchase, cataloging and maintenance of the Book Collections.
