Matas Ready Reference and Matas Reference

A small collection of print dictionaries, directories or statistical compilations are shelved near the Matas Library Information Services Desk.  These materials are available for in library use only.   Ask the Matas Librarians if you are interested in electronic versions of these types of materials.   Many reference resources may be avaialble in a online version or there may be an online related resource.

Popular 'Ready Reference' titles are:

• Medical dictionaries, such as Stedman's medical dictionary
• Directory of physicians in the United States and Official ABMS directory of board certified medical specialists
• Major current drug references, such as Martindale : the complete drug reference or the USP DI
• Graduate medical education directory
• Report on medical school faculty salaries
• World Development Indicators
• Often used Tulane historic texts and the Tulane School of Medicine Catalogs which list the SOM graduates and faculty since the 1900s

A small collection of Reference Works are shelved on the Mezzanine.   Some of these volumes comprise historic reference sets that the current version is available online, such as the American Men and Women of Science.
