Borrowing

Providing users with access to essential library resources is one of the major goals of the Information Services Desk.  Current print materials, such as medical texts or specialty monographs, are available for use outside of the Matas Library for periods of time. Some historic or heavily used materials may have restricted check-out or may be used in the Matas Library only.

Check the Tulane Libraries Catalog to see if a print version of the book or journal is available in the Tulane Library Collections (The Law Library is a separate catalog). Check the Library Catalog for information about a particular title. Users will be able to tell from the record if one of the Tulane libraries own a copy and if it is immediately available (neither checked out, nor on Hold or Reserve).

Items that are currently checked out by other users may be placed on hold or may be recalled in certain circumstances.

Ask Us! We can help.  Let the Library Desk know of problems or questions regarding online renewals, holds and recalls!
