Rudolph Matas Library has desktop computers available for use within the library study areas. All of the computers have a selection of productivity, medical, and public health specific applications installed. The library also has laptops (PCs & Macs) available for checkout for in-library use only. Four desktop computers are available for short-term public use during normal business hours. Flatbed scanners are also located throughout the library.
Seventeen computers are located in the classroom on the mezzanine level of the library (M207). This room may be reserved for exams and presentations. Email email@example.com for further information.
The 24/7 quiet study space has provides computing, black & white and color printing, scanning, and VTS access to add funds to University IDs. This space offers several private group study rooms, tables and carrels with convenient electrical outlet access, PCs, laser printing, and a flat bed scanner. Ten of these computers host software* provided by the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine for after-hours use. When the library is closed, the after-hours area is entered by swiping your Tulane University ID card at the controlled access door in the 2nd floor hallway on the LaSalle side. ID cards must be activated by the security checkpoint in the lobby.
Printing is controlled by the Pharos printing system; to retrieve your print job users swipe their Tulane ID at the Pharos station adjacent to the printer. The system will deduct the appropriate amount from the print credit balance first, then from the cash balance. Total credit must exceed or equal the cost of the print job. Select programs offer a print credit to enrolled students at the beginning of the semester which may be used only for printing. Cash may be added to cards using the VTS (black box) located in the 24/7 area of the library. Funds may also be added at Card Services (8th floor of Tidewater) or online.
Color printing is fifty cents per page; standard b&w printing is ten cents per page.
